Composite resin veneers are applied directly to the teeth in one long initial appointment, followed by a second polishing appointment. Composite resin veneers will usually last seven years before they lose their colour and polish. Smoking and some staining foods and beverages will reduce the appearance of these restorations more rapidly. Regular surface polishing will increase the length of time a composite resin veneer will maintain its shine. Resurfacing the composite resin is also an option to keep it looking good. Composite resin veneers cost less initially than porcelain veneers.
